Centrally situated in the Umfolozi section of the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park, Mpila Camp commands magnificent views of the Umfolozi bushveld and Wilderness area from a variety of accommodation facilities.

Accommodation at Mpila Camp
The self catering Chalets and Safari tents with accommodation for 2 people in each also have an additional sleeper couch.
Mpila Camp also has two self-contained 3-bedroomed cottages, each with accommodation for seven people, with a cook on hand to prepare food supplied by guests. Caretaker cook included in the tariff for these two units.
For smaller groups, there are also self-catering chalets which offer accommodation for five people each. These have two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, and a lounge/diningroom.
The Safari Tented Camp at Mpila Camp consists of 2-bedded and 4- bedded units, each with bathroom en-suite (shower and toilet). An optional third bed is available in each tent on request. Each have own kitchen, dining / deck area and braai stand. The 4 bedded units have 2 tents, each with own bathroom and these are separated by the central kitchen / dining area.
Each unit has a veranda. A fully equipped kitchen and dining area is connected to each tent by a wooden boardwalk. Barbecue facilities are available at each unit. All these units are self-catering and are serviced daily. All bed linen and bath towels are provided. The kitchens have all necessary basic utensils, cutlery and crockery.
The water at Mpila Camp is temporarily not fit for drinking.
Please bring your own drinking water.
Limited hours generator electricity - suggest bring a torch.
Limited Petrol is available, and curios, cool drinks and snacks can be purchased from the Mpila Camp Shop, very limited provisions available. Note no restaurant at Mpila Camp.
Guided game drives, late afternoons into the evening are available and may be booked on arrival. There is limited availability of guided game walks.
Minimum age for walks is 16 years old if unaccompanied by a parent or legal guardian and 14 years old if accompanied.
Please note Mpila Camp camp is not fenced. Scavenging Monkeys during the day and hyena in the evenings can be a nuisance.
