Rorkes Drift Lodge is a tastefully converted farmhouse built in an expansive garden area covering 5 hectares of a 1000 acre property. The Lodge offers breathtaking views of Zululand. The main lodge building houses a Guest lounge with fireplace and satellite television, dining room, kitchen, reception area and curio shop. A multi-level deck area is located in front of the Lodge where guests can relax and enjoy their surroundings or take a swim in the plunge pool.
The staff at Rorkes Drift Lodge, are exceptionally friendly and efficient and enjoy personal interaction with their visitors.

Two of the lodge rooms are housed in the Main Lodge building giving guests instant access to all the lodge facilities, but with private entrances, so still affording guests the same privacy as the other rooms. The other two rooms are located approximately 100m away from the Lodge, in the gardens offering total seclusion and peace.

Visitors can arrange a guided tour to the historic Anglo-Zulu Battlefields of Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift where knowledgeable guides will bring the tale of these two devastating battles to life. Visit Talana, the site of the first battle in the Anglo-Boer War or the Battle of Blood River where one can delve into the history of the Zulu-Boer clashes in this area.

Rorkes Drift Lodge has amazing birdlife with more than 120 different species being counted at different times of the year and including the Scarlet Chested Sunbird, Paradise Flycatcher and a family of Ground Hornbills. The gardens are also home to Porcupines, Warthogs, Impala, Grey Duiker, Kudu, Spotted genets and even Serval.
