Tiger lodge is situated along the banks of the picturesque Jozini dam of KwaZulu Natal. Situated in the heart of the Kingdom of the Zulu with its rich heritage and untamed natural beauty, Tiger Lodge is an exciting holiday destination which offers a perfect luxury getaway in the heart of nature.
Jozini Tiger Lodge opens in Jozini, Northern KwaZulu-Natal in on March 1st 2010.
The hotel is incredibly positioned overlooking the Jozini Dam and is easily accessible from both Durban and Gauteng. The hotel itself boasts superb facilities and there is no other property developed or under development in South Africa that can match the spectacular positioning, size and facilities that Jozini Tiger Lodge will have.
Ideal for weekends away, extended family holidays, conferencing, incentives, team building and international tour groups - this will be a must visit property which will be photographed and spoken about extensively. Accommodation
Our development will be a four star Facility of which phase 1 will consist of 60 bedrooms accommodating 144 persons. There will be 48 thatched bedrooms and 12 thatched family loft rooms. The rooms will offer unsurpassed comfort and luxury with breathtaking views of the Dam.
The main lodge hosts an array of amenities including a Top class Restaurant, Private Lounge Bar, Conference and Wedding facilities, a Wellness centre, Children´s Playroom and Gymnasium.

Fishing in Zululand
The Tiger fishing tournament in October draws anglers from around the world. This is South Africa’s own Kariba.
Lake Jozini in the Pongola Game Reserve is the most Southern lake where tigerfish are endemic. Although widespread and still common in certain areas like the Pongola river, tigerfish are declining in most rivers due to pollution, water extraction and obstructions like weirs and dams that prevent their passage up or downstream to suitable spawning sites along flooded river banks and lake shores.
The Tiger Fish is one of the most exciting fresh water gamefish and catching tigerfish will have your adrenalin flowing. Recognised by the bluish sheen on its back, a series of parallel longitudinal black stripes, intensive yellow to blood red fins with trailing black edges and a series of 8 large, protruding, sharply pointed teeth.
From the novice fisherman to the expert anglers fishing with a fly, Lake Jozini offers you the ideal location for tigerfishing of a lifetime.
Game Viewing in Zululand
Jozini Tiger Lodge is a 1 hour drive to Sodwana Bay, Umfolozi, Mhuze and Ndumo Game Reserves. Pongolapoort Reserve on the eastern shore is home to 4 of the Big 5, 350 species of bird life, crocodiles and hippos.
Cruises
Included in the development of the lodge is be the addition of Houseboats and a Cruise liner. These watercraft will allow for an ideal vantage point for some astonishing views of the dam and the wildlife surrounding the dam.

Lake Jozini is considered South Africa’s own Lake Kariba - spend two nights on one of our houseboats with a private chef.

We are located in a prime position in the heart of Zululand. Surrounded by World heritage sites as well as some of the most acclaimed Nature reserves in the World. Tiger Lodge is accessible from Johannesburg, Durban and the KwaZulu Natal Midlands by road. There is a also a road to the Kruger Park via Swaziland.
